i just realized today that my stock stereo in my 2001 honda civic sedan had a little red light that said antitheft. I replaced the stereo, so do i still have the alarm?

the red light is only to tell thieves that your HU needs a code to use it when the battery is disconnected, it's not a car alarm.

that is great to hear, thanks a lot. hopefully when a thieve looks in my car they dont see a faceplate.

well from my experiences with STOCK alarms.... they suck....
if ya want a good alarm buy one and have it instaled....

How did you remove the stereo from the 2001 Civic

I just bought one and I want to run the wires for my amp to it. I don't see any screws or anything and don't feel like scratching the **** out of it...
