hey look he gets what he pays for, im telling you my friend has the same exact in-dash and he is unhappy with it, but hey maybe youll be happy if u buy it, but why get a head unit that has poor quality for $400 when you can get one with better quality and will probably last you longer for a few more bucks??
Then again... everyone has different experiences with different things... such as... many people in the world like Dell, I think they suck...

Perhaps he will get what he pays for... but, maybe he doesn't care.... my first sub was a Kraco (K-mart $30 special)... then, I "upgraded" to Urban Audio Works (Walmart Special)... then, I upgraded again... to DEI Audio (a better brand) now... I have Fosgate... (old school... good stuff) I will say... there wasn't much difference in the Urban Audio Works subs than the DEI Audio... they did what I wanted them to do... and I learned a lot by buying them....

Then again... you could be right... he might buy it... and hate it... but, then he'll understand a little more about car audio... any way he goes... it's Win/Win...

Yeah, I did too... MECP certified. What in general isn't that good? Their head units? BWAHAHAHA! Pioneer makes good H/U's... Kenwood... they don't have the name the do by being crap.

My point EXACTLY.

So, Mr. "I USED to install full systems..." what is a good unit?

CLarion is very good with there headunits, alpine was number one for quality! i generally stay away from pioneer jsut inst my scene. By the way renegade no need to get cocky who are you trying to impress. You dont know me so dont be rude to me! i dont know if it the fact hat im canadian and dont deal with the top of the line kenwood, but i jsut dont like them, thats me though. Many problems getting the warranety dealt with , and i have had complaints about them, again not top of the line. i have instaleld numerouse pioneer's in the past but i try to stay waway from them. dont make enough buck, and there speakers i hate them!!!

Well, you just added some points in my book... LOL... Clarion and Alpine are definitely good. You may be right.. The fact that you're Canadian may be why you don't like Kenwood... in the US... Kenwood is some NICE stuff...

Edit: Not cocky... just confident. I'm not trying to impress anyone... just showing credentials.

I'm bringing this back because I said that I would report on it if it was any good. I bought it and just installed it today. So far I am very happy with it. My only complaint is that it glares fairly easily. The video quality is pretty good and sounds good too. I got a video of it but it doesn't do any justice. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...oid=1686506208 I recommend this to anyone that wants a cheap LCD head unit. My only complaint is that it glares easily.
