Did you check the bulb?

That doesn't seem like a radio problem. Check your fuses and your bulb. Also check the switch for dust.

I haven't been paying attention to posts recently, but I am fairly sure there wouldn't be an issue wiht the radio.

The wiring in your car was likely done wrong. They have harnesses that state right on the package to be able to work with the domelight. Also, if you have a stock keyless entry system on your car it would make a difference. Like StarMarubury03 said you might have to reinstall your stock radio and hide it behind the dash for everything to work properly.

there is a work around that someone posted on this forum. I used it as well because I had the same problem. I'll see if I can dig it up. I remember it consisted of bridging a green wire.

First off, does the light work when you have it in the on position, but not when you have it in the middle (door open) position? If thats the case, then its very easy to fix. I actually just fixed this in my car a couple of hours ago. You need to take your stereo out, now, there should be two green harnesses. Find the one with the light green w/black stripe wire. It'll be on one side of the harness. Now, on the same harness, same collum, but on the other side and three spaces over, there will be a light green w/red stripe wire. You need to get a small piece of wire, and insert one side into the lt. green w/black and the other side into the lt. green w/red. Should fix the problem. If it doesn't, you may need to clean the contacts on the door that trigger it.
