door wiring,need some help
whats up everyone,i got a 1999 civic 2 door and for some reasion i have 1.3 to .9 ohms of resistance in the door speaker wires wich is not letting my front door speakers work properly,i was going to change the wire so that can rid of the high resistance but i cant seem to find were the wires are coming from the weather boot in the door to the inside of the car,if anyone has ever taken this apart can u guys help out, thanks for any input.
im not sure about your year model and its been a while since i looked at mine but there is usually a metal plate over the hole where the door harness comes in. usually you will have to lay down in the floor board and look up into the dash and most of the time the wires actually change color in the car because the door to car wiring has a plug in harness. you can check that out maybe you can find something but i would just leave the factory wires there and just run a new wire from the head unit to the door, being that there is a harness in the door and all it will be pretty painful and time consuming to actually take the other wires out.
