DD's are ok dont get me wrong but by no means top of the line. Also JL is not overpriced per say because they do put out rock solid performance, have top notch customer service, and a killer dealer network more times than not. When I think top of the line as far as subs go I have to break it up into different categories. DD does in fact make some of the loudest subs but in the same sense most of them will not drop low at all which is all good to your average teen that runs around "bumping" G-Unit crap but not ok to me.
Also Focal's are nice too but way over kill for most that want them.

I had 4 audiobahn high excursion 12s and they cracked my windshield. Just nasty loud bass. I had 2 RF BD1500.1 amps pushin em. I loved the audiobahns just cuz they slammed and werent too much $$. Now ive got 1 infinity perfect VQ and love its crisp bass......

audioque is basically a 9500 minus extra cooling. same build house are DD. kicker 2500.1 are strong amps, my team uses them at 1 ohm all day, but they do become current hogs at 1 ohm. teammate burped a 57.4 with 4x2500.1 and 4 dd 9515's. thats no wall daliy beater tuned 40hz
