Default NEW SYSTEM!

Hello everyone I was posting on here to find out how to get a good sound system and bang for my buck. I just got a used honda civic 2004 2d coupe but dunno if its ex, lx or w/e. So I was trying to upgrade all the stock shyt. Def wanna get a new headunit, amp and a sub(s). I dunno about speakers and tweeters and rest of that mombo jumbo. But yea Im willing to spend at most 500 on the whole thing... for right now....
I am totally new to cars and audio but i can figure things out. The one thing i know I wont be able to do on my own is build a box for the sub if i need to. I had a woodshop class... but i dont have any tools to make one. Well any other info u need to know just ask.
PS I like to hear my music with lots of bass but still hear the words. I listen to rap if that helps.

$500 for a head unit, amp, sub and speakers? Hit up Walmart I guess, you've only got $100 to spend on each.

It's going to be much more than that for everything you want.

about how much then? I have a job and can get plenty of money... Fine lets change that 500 to best bang for my buck and keep it under a 1000?? Will that get me a decent-good system?

Let see:
A good head unit: around 200
Speakers front and back: 200
Amp: >200 depend
Sub: 150 for a nice one
Plus box and wires
So 1000 you'll get a decent setup.

I would get stuff in this order:

1) Head Unit
2) Speakers
3) Sub & Amp

I love MY Alpine! It has a great interface with Ipod as well.
my speakers are okay... they arent amped yet but this is them...
Here is my sub amp (they have changed the look this year but it is the same power)...
and this is my subwoofer that my friend and I built into the trunk...

I have put at least 1000 bucks into it and it sounds really nice... nothing too crazy and my wife will still ride along with me.
