i know my single din on the double din didnt need a kit... at least im preaty sure! its not a dash kit cause the lower pocket is preaty much just laying thier

and well my double din alpine unit is already in transit thru UPS and i get it tuesday if all goes good! and tho i already have the screen protector, video bypass, and a ipod cable.. and the wireing harness from my current radio.... i just want to be sure i got everything i need so as soon as the UPS guy pulls in the driveway i can jump the guy and start instaling my new radio unit

Ihave aJVC KW-AVX706 and i used a dash kit. You may not need a dash kit depending on how big of a space u got, i have a 05 civic and the hole was a little bigger than the cd player so I had to get a regular dash kit and cut the pocket out. I'll get some pics for u in the next couple days. I installed a double din today and i used the factory brackets and it worked out perfect.

You will need to be creative in your install, it's NOT a perfect fit in most cases...!
