Yah, that one on the dash will look, and feel good in your face when the air bag blows up. That one's dumb, but on the line in the legal ease. the unit on the roof..... no problem of course.
If all your going to use it for, what I would do is install it the correct way. No temptation then.

State laws may vary. Usually as long as the screen is mounted behind the driver's head it can be used while the car is in motion.

It all depends on how you'll be using it, period. Many ways of getting around it and many ways that you could be caught. I'm not about to take a side and list them all. I was only giving him my opinion on what I would do. I told him my opinion because I figured he was putting in the system himself, not having someone put it in for him, thats a whole different story.

My pioneer works, I just grounded the wire. The screen can be up, even if you get pulled over. You just cant have a movie playing.........but even so, it doesnt matter. Whos to say you were watching it while driving? I mean if youre PULLED OVER, youre not moving, and its perfectly legal to have it on pause or something lol.

I am sorry but only a complete idiot runs over someone watching a DVD driving down the road. I am perfectly capable of "listening" to the dvd as it plays and getting 90% of the experience while i focus on the road ahead.

Common sense here people...
