Extending Wires Bettwen Cathodes and Transformer

Those wires up there at the top left that go between the trasnformer and the cathodes, are those just normal 12V/ground wires that you can splice and extend? Doing a project in one of my friends car and the way its setup the transformer will be too far away from the cathodes for it to work, so i figured just extending them would work, but just getting some confirmation to make sure. (lol Addiction, im basically asking you)
No those wires carry thousands of volts. That black box is a transformer that transforms the 12v to the proper voltage for the cold cathodes. While it is possible to extend the wires, ozium says that if you do it may cause the cathodes to flicker sometimes. Besides those things are so cheap you could just buy a second transformer or another set and wire 1 on each side.
ive heard of some people extending them BUT i wouldnt recoment it.....
they are suposed to be HIGHLY different and will not act good with the extended wires resistane!
so if you want to HIDE the transformers... well in short your screwed
just buy some LED strips
i swear everyone wants to call me out but wont just ask me.LMFAO

The only time I'd suggest extending those wires is when splicing in more of the same wire, on my PC I have dual 12" blue cold cathodes and to mount them like I wanted I needed to extend the wires for the top tube and I did because I had another project with 4" cathodes shatter the tubes[:@] and I had the wires left over. There was a place that sold wire extenders with the brackets on both sides to be a proper plug n play but I've not seen them in a while....
