Hey guys, i'm new to the forum and was wondering if anyone here would be interested in a fiberglass box for the driver's side of the trunk to hold either a 10" or 12" woofer. Box weighs about 12 lbs and takes up pretty much NO space in the trunk.

I'm attaching a couple of pics of the box and it's fitment in the car. This box is UNFINISHED, finished box would be wrapped in carpet that matches the trunk. Any feedback is appreciated. PM me or email me at mconsolia4@comcast.net

I love the look and usefullness of this style box but the lil problem (least to me) the fact of chaning the tail light bulbs..... but with any box there is always a trade off of some sort. Box does look good tho.

 

That's pretty sick. How much are you looking to get for these? I wish somebody would learn me how to fab up fiberglass. I am having a tough time trying to do a sunroof plug.

 

we normally sell our fiberglass boxes for $299 plus shipping, but since this is a new box, we're selling it for $249.99 plus shipping (about $15-20). And we do offer this box loaded with a woofer.

 

$300?!?!?! that's pretty steep... it you make your own, it costs ~$100 MAX. and by max, i mean messing up a BUNCH of times with the resin and maybe the cuttings a few times. good luck with those customs. bestbuy offers sub enclosures (universal rectangular ones) for only $80 - these hold 2.

 

if you expect to get 3 hundo for a box like that around here you're out yo fuggin mind. it would cost less to takea class to learn how to fab fiberglass. it seems like you're tryin to start up a buisness or somethin doin this.. but you need to figure out somethin thats gunna work if you want a successfull buisness. nobody's gunna pay you 300 for something that could easily be bought for 100.

I fiber glassed the whole bottom of my trunk for a 15" JL. For my first time i did pretty good. Cost me a whole 90 bucks. 30 for the resin and the rest for fiberglass sheets; gloves; paint brushes; and a 12 pack.

 

so my quote was pretty accurate... $100...

i helped my friend make one for his dual 15". took 3 days and looks amazing. definitely under $300 too

 

if this would fit a 99 coupe trunk, i'd be interested in getting one of these, but man even $100 is alot....
