Default fitting speakers

hey everyone.

i have a 1991 EG9 SiR sedan. i am looking at replacing the factory speakers, with ones of the same size, ie strait swap. in the front doors, i have taken the grill off, and are able to unscrew the speaker. the speakers the have plastic clip thingys wiring them into the car, with two wires running into the door. My question is, do i simply need to cut the plastic thingy off, which leaves me with a positve and a negative speaker wire?

it is also the same in the back, however, there are two speakers on each side, they look to be a 6" and a 5". can i just do the same thing, cutting the wires to leave me with a positive and a negative?

and finally.....lol....does anybody know the actuall speaker sizes? i

any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can get a wire harness for those if you really don't want to cut them, I've always just tapped into the wires but left the connector attached in case I want to put the factory stuff back in.

No idea what sizes are in your car though, sorry.
