yea, dont do it. It's overkill, and if you want that much sound, you shoul have used the money to buy a really nice one thats the equivalent of the others together.

buy an suv. If you put all those in there your suspension is going to be almost bottomed out with no one in it. Not very good for your car when you have a full car load and 4 subs

I got 4 subs to fit in my trunk, and the 6th gen trunk is smaller than the 7th gen trunk... of course, I used plywood instead of MDF to make the largest of the three boxes, and the subs are 10s, not 12s. It doesn't ride low at all.

I had 4 10" JLs in my old car. They were sealed in a square box, they have to face upright. Id didn't take up much room and it was not that heavy at all. I had the W0s

A box made of PLYWOOD? What?
If you want/need 4 woofs in the trunk of your car....kiss ALL of the space goodbye, as well as your spare tire.
You can get that much out of 2 drivers placed properly, in the corect enclosure, with a decent amount of power.
AND you can still get to your spare.....

I work on a budget using creativity to work around problems. The main box is plywood. The plywood was free. It's sealed and holds together well enough. The side boxes are MDF. The MDF was scrap given to me for (you guessed it) free. It sealed just as well.

It depends on much more than what your box is made of and how much power your subwoofers can handle. MDF is better than plywood, no argument there. Fiberglass is more versatile than both, hands down. But, for example, the Crossfire subs I have were designed for use in small spaces. I was able to build smaller boxes around that, right to manufacturer's suggestions. The best part is that I can get to my spare tire just fine, and I have more than enough space for my individual needs.

This argument is ages (decades?) old. There are many sides. I have gone the "2 subs, more power" way before and it was just fine. But, I have some ambitions in mind so I sacrificed a little space for personal taste.

I suppose that's the bottom line: Personal taste.
