Front Speaker cutting out: how to fix?
So the left driver side speaker on my friends Honda Civic is cutting out.
Now I am no expert in car audio by any means, but this is usually caused by a loose wire at the speakers location is it not?
Obviously, we want to minimize the amount of work, and taking out the head unit looks harder than removing the door panel would be. So targeting the most likely cause first makes sense.
The speaker still works MOST of the time. It is all stock.
How do I check the speaker? How does the plastic cover come off?

RE: Front Speaker cutting out: how to fix?
It is either a loose wire, a blown speaker or the speaker is wire going into the voice coil is damaged. Pull the cover off with the speaker still in and playing, if you push the woofer in slightly and it pops on, its the voice coil damage. It nothing happens (wheter it plays or not) pull it out and check for connection issues. Also, jerry rigging in the back of a radio (i.e. miss wiring, electrical tape covering...etc) has common issues, it might be loose from there. Its normally an easy fix but a tedious proccess.
