Alright, so Im upgrading my system to two 12" cadence ZRS 1000W rms subs. Now my question is, will i need a HO alternator? And should I go for two monoblock amps or a 2 channel?

You'll be hard pressed to find a 2 ch amp that does 1000 rms on each channel.....go with one mono amp. It'll be cheaper than getting two...and will save space.

Getting a HO alt would be a good idea, especially if you play your system loud all the time.

Now, my questions are....

1) what do you have now? subs, amp, deck, wiring...everything
2) why cadence subs? not that they're bad, just wondering
3) do you want SPL (loudness) or SQ (sound quality)?
4) what kind of box are your current subs in? is it a sealed box or ported? If ported, what is the box tuned to?

With car audio, the install is much more important than the equipment

Well cadence has always had great products, and the price is incredibly cheap for how howrd they hit. Ok, so my wiring is pretty old but in good condition. If I remember correctly it was 1200W wire... don't remember the gauge. My deck is a cheapie but works well for what I got now, upgrading that soon. My amp is a kenwood 500x2 rms @ 4 ohms set up with two cadence mallet 300w rms. Individual sealed boxes for both. Now, I'm willing to learn here so enlighten me

By the way, I picked cadence because they are solid subs. The new 2000w rms daytona 12"s hit harder than anything I've heard. They are pretty inexpensive too, and they give you two new voice coils free

Oh, forgot to add: I wanted to put a small 4 channel amp for my speakers, right now I have 100w rms speakers up front and 350w rms 6x9s. Maybe just a 4x100 or something.

You'll want to upgrade to 0 gauge wire. go to Knukonceptz.com for a wiring kit, it's top notch stuff.

With 2000w rms, i'm assuming you just want some loud bass, right?
