Default Got the Deck to work + Car Alarm

So I got the deck to work...i hate when i completely overlook something as simple as a blown fuse. I just didn't bother to check the fuse labeled "Backup". I feel so dumb.

Anyways, it works great, looks beautiful. I'll have pictures of the setup on here ASAP.
I also bought a car alarm (60 bucks brand new with best buy employee discount )
That will be installed this wednesday.

It is a keyless entry/security setup and should serve me well.

I've ripped out the stock speakers on my front, still deciding how to mount my Alpine type-S into the door...

Next paycheck goes to window tinting and saving for whatever I decide is next [sm=smiley17.gif] (Lowering, wheels, paint, I/H/E? I haven't set my mind yet as to what is first)

Yes that "backup" fuse is used only to power the clock and keep the memory settings on a stock radio, that's why the stock radio worked when you plugged it in again. Though every time you turned the key off it would've reset itself.

Nearly all aftermarket radios draw all their power from the yellow wire, which is fed from the backup fuse.

thanks for making me feel even less intelligent.

small picture, kinda crappy. used my cell phone and it was too dark to get a picture with lights on. It is the DEH-P5900ib
Real clean, real simple. I like it a lot. The iPod cable runs through tomy glovebox and my ipod just sits in there and charges all day.

As for the alarm, it was installed today, so far works great. Tomorrow I'll check the sensitivity and stuff.
