I was gunna say , cuz a lot of the times all u hear is the bass to the music and u cant even hear the real song , or maybe just barely hear the melody/words. But i would want it to be even all around

well if your radio and speakers are stock then thats a big part of the problem

factory speakers cannt compare to a good set of components and a nice aftermarket radio!

most aftermarket radios put out more power to the speakers than stockers..
my alpine puts out. 18W x 4 RMS and Max Power Output: 50W x 4

doesnt sound like awhole lot... but does the trick for me but im not gonna lie i would like alittle louder.... but its a never ending story I WANT LOUDER..... I WANT FASTER.... I WANT MORE MONEY.... LOL

So with all of this bass , can u actually hear what song ur playing or just the bass in the song.
Their is a reason for this. Low freq. travel slower and are much more "sturdy" I guess you could say. This is why you can hear bass from a half mile away but not hear the highs and mids untill they are alot closer. Higher frequencies are much weaker and distort/break apart alot easier.

Are you saying you're running components off your Alpine deck?

It sounds like you don't have a lot of knowledge about building boxes...? No offense at all, just got that impression from some of your posts. If you haven't already, find a good program for graphing response curves and use that for creating box parameters. Maybe just changing the box would gain your a few db's...

well ive been building boxes for about 10years now..... not always the best at knowing what air space to rock or port area BUT thats why i ask.... after i find the displacement and port area numberes im set....
i know i can probably get alittle more outta properly curving angling the ports BUT just havent felt like it.....
BUT when it comes to fabing up a box and coming up with a design for it IM SET....

and ya im running my REaudio RE 6.5 components off my alpine unit as well as some midrange priced pioneer 6x9s in the rear for fill...
most people say ya gotta run amps on components... BUT ive had these speakers in 2 cars now BUT in my truck they needed amped VERY BADLY!!!! but im my civic with my alpine unit they sound much beter and louder thier! but like i said one day i will power them like they can and should.... BUT subs just not loud enough to overpower them on my typical volume.... plus having a bass **** helps ALOT when tweaking the need for bass.LOL

To whoever said 150....I highly doubt you'll get that in the Civic. And if you interested in BLs I have 2 12" BLs laying around, they work but had tinsel leads soldering a few times, prob could use a recone and I can get the recones for $60 each (scott being friendly lol).
