I am thinking of spray tinting my tailights, but thought it would look pretty sick to pray the headlights also. Has anyone done or heard of anyone doing this?

my friend used NiteShade to tint both his taillights and headlights on his 07 Cobalt and it looks sick as hell, i say do it man, but use some light coats so you can still see the lights of course haha

 

Cool, yeah I was thinking of getting black projectors but I cant seem to find a good place to buy them from. Everyone that sells them on ebay has a feedback rating of 98% or lower and I will never buy anything from anyone on ebay with that low of a rating. I get screwed every time. So I think I might do it. I am looking at the night shade spray tint. I just hope I dont get busted by the po-po's. lol.

 

Be carefull. Where you live, there just might be a "law" that says what you are wanting to do is NOT leagal. We have such a law in Washington State! Just FYI.

 

you know i really dont understand why it illegal to spray tint, seeing as how they make those avs tint covers but if you read on the can of niteshade it says for offroad use only. i know for a fact in north carolina that it is illegal to spray tint any light but they usually wont bother you for the tails but the headlights are different especially if they are sprayed on.

 

I knew a guy who had a 91 four door civic and he had the gts smoke headlight covers, at night he was always running his highbeams just so he could see anything.... While I've seen several cars with tinted headlights, they look really cool but their useable light at night is extremely effected and I'd say unless you're going to shows I'd have either removeable covers or an extra set of headlights for your night driving........ that or have a really good set of driving lights to compensate (my fogs actally put out more useable light to the ground than my projector headlights with halogen bulbs did...).

 

ya dont spray the complete headlights!!!!!
i just have some eye lids on my headlights...... BUT if i get some black OEM style headlights ill be taping off the same shape of the eyelids and then using the nightshades to tint the eye lid style onto them......

if ya tint the headlights i dont care how light or dark ya do it... ITS DANGEROUS!!!! i do not recomend doing it!!!
i had some carbon fiber style headlight covers and they killed the light output preaty bad....... thats why i removed them and put on my eyelids.....
tho now i have HIDs i probably could put the full covers back on and see ok BUT the main reason for HIDs wa to see alot beter at night!!! so that would defeat the purpose!


BUT i guess the only time its ok to do the whole headlights is if you do NOTHING BUT DAYTIME DRIVING!!!!!!!! and still your looken at hurasment by cops!

BUT half tint would be ok...

 

yea cops are a problem when it comes to that, even if there is no law...if a cop feels like it they can jus wild out on you for no reason but it do look hot when done rite...seen this girls eclipse spyder when i went by da shop yesterday and hers lights were sick, blacked out head & tails wit probly 6k hids...da light did seem dimmed tho thx to da tint
