Has anyone tinted there headlights before?
haha sounds awesome man, i say go for it cuz ive seen a mustang with blacked out headlights, looks AWESOME, even though i hate mustangs. but where can you get this niteshade shiit? i live in canada by the way, if anyone knows, would be much appreciated
Get some GTS Smoke covers - they look way better than driveway paintjobs, and you can remove them at night for all of the light you need.
Plus, that spray-on tint will look like *** once rock chips and serious bug hits start accumulating. It's not designed to stand up to anything, really. The first good scrub job at a coin-op car wash, or the first trip through the high-pressure Laser Wash drive-thru will pretty much take care of your nifty paint-job as well.

+1 vote don't use spray tint or pre-cut film tint [Edit]On headlights[/Edit]!
Yeah, I've heard bad things about spray tint, and the pre-cut film tint is apparently hyper-illegal. I used to get harassed by the po-po for my carbon GTS headlight covers I had on my 4runner for a while and they were LEGAL. I got those cuz they cut the light a LOT less than the full smoke or blackout covers.
I personally would just wait till you can find a reputable dealer of some black housing headlights, theyARE out there. Keep googling and check the sponsored links, people b1tch about the sponsored links, but when I am shopping online they are usually pretty useful to check! Or find a local speed shop that will order them for you and not gouge you, don't tell them to orderthe housingsunless they tell you EXACTLY how much they are going to charge you for them when they arrive!
And then get carbon or paint matched eyebrows!I love those things on civics. Altho they are a german tuner thing origonally.
And keep in mind that most speed shops that are worth going to will cut you a deal on multiple items especially if they have any of them in stock! (Experienced this first hand)
[Edit] \/ Good counterpoint, I've seen tinted brakelights and they look good![/Edit]

ive had my taillights tinted repeatly and go thru car washes and even buffed them without the tint geting any ruffer! its paint at least the NIGHTSHADE spray tint..... but its just like paint...... you stupid enough to drive behind a gravel truck your gonna have to worrry about more than just chips in the headlight tint... your gonna have chips all over the place!
those GT covers suck.... they dont hold on thier firmly at the bottom so they move and flap around and the upper mounting velcro stuff sticks so hard that when trying to remove them i already busted off one of the 2 tabs.... the fitment just blows!
if you spray the headlights with tint, all you do is put a clear coat over the final coat to keep from chipping. it won't "look like ***".
here's an example (not really dot legal, but you get the idea, just go with a lighter shade)
