We have never owned a car, always trucks with no room for a system. Well, now that we have our 2008 Civic Coupe we are ready for that system.

I would love some input on what sounds nice in these cars (size, shape, brand, etc.)

I do not want to take up the entire trunk and I don't need anything too crazy, I just want some clean, hard hitting bass.

Alpine type R 12" with Alpine MRP-M650 amp that's what I have. It's very loud and very clear!

If you want hard hitting on a lower output amplifier
look for subs with higher sensitivity ratings
although it's argued that the box is way more important than the sensitivity ratings...it still helps

 

Yeah I only have 1 12 in a sealed box I made myself. It defintately hits hard and sounds clear too and I don't even have the gain turned up that high.
