Help with Break Down
Hey all, as you can probably see i am new to the forums, hopefully thats not important, but back to the matter at hand.
My friend and I are revamping my 1995 Civic Ex's entire audio system and we can not figure out how to remove the dash to remove the former head unit. We need to get the dash off for two reasons, to remove the head unit and to mount some tweeters from component speakers.
Thanks for your help ahead of time.
***O and if there is an easier way to do this with out removing dash that information would also be much appreciated.

on a 95 you dont need to remove the dash for the head unit removal, its a factory DIN style head unit so it slides out and the aftermarket unit goes in with no use of a dash kit.
You shouldn't have to remove the dash for the tweeters either, you should be able to just fish your wires behind the dash to where you want to mount the tweeters.

Dont tell him to rip it out, dingbat! You could really damage the inside of the dash. You can be a little aggressive with it, but dont go caveman style on it. If you strip anything or break something you wont be happy. Also, if its an old school radio, it might not have a wiring kit to the back of it. Chances are it was cut and hard wired to the car. Be very carefull and read/write down all the wires colors from the radio and observe which wires go into the carsvwires.. If you dont and you have zero experience (from what I see) you will be very sorry. A voltmeter will help too.
