So yeah. Hondas gotta break down sometime
So yeah i was chillin in the shop yesterday with my sponsor, installing my hids and eating pizza. and just chillin when i went to go hit the dizzy wire on accident and my car turned off i was like wtf?. so i checked it out with test light turns out if i touch this one wire on engine harness side not the dizzy side of the wires the car turns off. so then my CEL came on and it was 2 long 4 short. so im running a p05 OBD1 tuned by skunk2 for a b18c5 with a 9200R/pm redline. so after i fixed SOMEWHAT fixed it
The idle is extremely low, almost stall low, but its drive-able runs strong when your on the pedal but when you hold it at 1k-1.2k rpms it seems like launch control. the idle goes up down up; down, so my buddy whos also a mechanic said that i have short circuit in my harness. so i found a dx harness for $75 bucks and ima go buy that and ima get my p28 socket the bitch make it manual and make the computer OBD2 with a chip and fix this ****ing issue. btw im running a b16a with full valvetrain.
Anyone have any other thoughts?

it is stock, if you noticed i said send it to pheriable.net and a 100 bucks, they can chip almost any obd1 ecu and make it vtec and manual, and they set your base map to your engine, like a p06 can be programed like a p30(b16) ecu.

I'm running a p05 with a skunk2 b18c5 tune on it. But its obd1 my buddy has a h22a4 ej1 and his car was OBD1 and now he got a obd2 chip, and that car pulled 2x harder then it did at the same R/PM then it did when it was obd1. so im taking his advice and getting a 93 civic DX harness and hes going to run some wires to make it a vtec harness. His car runs excellent, So he's doing the same thing he did to his harness with mine with an obd2 chip. so its not to bad.
Im giving him a obd1 P28 thats AUTO. and hes going to covert the ECU, to manual for me and also socket it and install the chip then it will be obd2.
And also with the chip comes 1 hr free on the dyno. so its not that bad.

obd2 chip????? i dont think ur friend knows what he is talking about....
converting a ecu auto to manual is easy we have the diy on our forum.
the ""chip""" is a rom, all you have to do is program it, idk how good ur friend is at soldering but if he screws up ur ecu is a gonna be garbage, have you seen what needs to be done to socket the ecu? all you need to do is get ur ecu tuned, your running a b18 basemap on a b16 engine.

Yea i know its a ROM but the reason we are doing it is because the p05 im useing does not belong to me and im getting a "CHIP" rom/ from my buddy straight from japan, supposidly where its comng from it will be here on wensday and it will be tuned for bolt-ons for a b16 with Full valvetrain with the exception of cam gears. I'ts going to be "OBD2" supposidly he says. Hes got a h22a4 in his car and it runs so strong, but yeah im just hoping for the better in my car. but yeah all in all happy thanks giving and i hope your weekend is great if you reply, il be checking frequently.
