well just got this cluster off ebaypreaty cheap... that way i could take my time on a full led swap! tho it came with these overlays BUT it didnt come with the transformer.......

thinken about checken em out.... they look like my overlays that i had in my truck... BUT i cannt remember where i found the replacement transformer for it
and it was a switchable... from blue to green tho it wasnt much of a change.LOL
figure I MIGHT keep em... might not... either way it would be easier to sell complete and lite up

also i see two bulbs uptop.... in the front corners... WTF are they used for..... ive never noticed anything lite thier in mine...

i know thiers places that sell replacement transformers for them!!!! i just have to be sure what model it is....



alls i realy care about these gauges is they are mostly thier.LOL
im gonna rip em fully apart and see if i have to do leds OR if i can chop some 4inch cold cathodes into them....

i realy dont care if they work..... but at least if i knew what they where i could either buy the new transformer or tell the buyer where to buy em....

i realy like my gauges stock looken during the day... its the whole black car theme silver gauges wouldnt look that great anyways...

but another thing thats kinda odd is that maintance button wont reset... just tried to push in that button and it wont clear... still red..... HUM.... think it might be broke if the car was wrecked hard enough.....
ill definatly eventualy pull my gauges and slide these in realy quick just to see if they do work completly besides the overlay that is!
cause if they dont work i can definatly F em up.LOL and not worry abotu being so gentle when pullen it apart the first time....

 

ok well i guess those 2 bulbs uptop are for a complete stock overlay

gonna go blue leds for my interior.
BUT i do have an idea... using some LED flexable strips and some other leds....
i bought 4 led flexable kits... 5 or 10 prewired 3MM leds and also 10 3MM and 10 5MM leds...

hopefully enough to do a led convertion......


i took the gauges all apart and suprisingly the gauges are realy easy to pull apart! only thing i cannt understand is HOW they put these needles on!!!!!!
my trucks needles just pulled off and slid right back on
guess i wont be able to customize them O WELL...
