Okay my sister wants a system in her car and she told me to put it together for her....

She said she wants a 15" Sub and any amp that can push it....

She only has 400$ and thats all.... What you guys think she should get......

15" is overkill IMO

 

I like tha single 15" Sub.... and my sister..... has 17" Chrome rims... FUGLY on her 97 Accord and listens to mostly lil wayne =/ so overkill wont be a problem for her gay self. as much as i dont like her or her style i still want to get a good system for her for the money... if i like how it sounds ill duplicate hehe

 

$400? That's not too much lol. Does she just want to get loud, or sound good? how about an IA 187?

She just wants loud. I would rather have it sound good but loud is all she wants.

 

if you got 400max to spend... well it might be more but i really like my alpine type R 15 which was ruffly 225-250bucks. then i used a small 600watt amplifier which i believe i paid like 100-150bucks for it. a jbl bp600.1 tho its a older amplifier. and the box i built myself but a prefab run you about 50bucks for a nice ported encloser. then the wiring kit, ,cheapie ebay 20-30bucks.

basically look at crutchfield.com AND CLOSE THAT PAGE!!!!!! LOL

look locally for your flea market that has a stereo guy in there and chew em down a bit. if posible that is.
or buy off ebay. the equipment you can almost always buy cheaper on ebay, but the speaker box is cheaper if you buy local since most people dont sell them on ebay since shipping is crazy due to the size and weight.
if you was local id hook ya up with my type R and amplifier but your not local.

I was looking at that cadence amp you posted superfly and i wanted to get it... but i want a LITTLE bit higher rms than tha subs 300... Just to play it safe...

 

Don't get a prefab box.....*shudders* ......actually i think they sell boxes specifically for type r's to the right specs on ebay

Get type r off ebay for like 200.
