prefab boxes are fine if you measure em out abit. ive used them quite a bit when im lazy most work out just fine.

and not sure about newer cadance amps but i had one old Z something amplifier and that thing sucked power like crazy! even with a beefed up alternator it was brutal on my electrical system!

I refuse to build a box lol if it was my car than MAYBE but not for hers lol..

Im going prefab im sorry... and no to the type R.... I have heard type R's, i wanna hear a new sub that i have never heard so i can have a new opinion on a new sub :P

My infinity1252 12" sub was horrible and worthless compared to 2 sets of cheap tens off of ebay that i had in the past....

I vote type r for affordability and quality.

but since you apparently don't want that, then you could do a RE Audio SEX15D4. with a 500-600 watt amp.

the sub is around $230 internet pricing, and you can probably find a good amp and stay around budget maybe something like the Alpine MRP-M500. you can pick one up for about $150 on the internet. it would probably put you around $450 with the box, but i think it would be a good setup.

Here is your solution.

Go to www.edesignaudio.com and have her rock out with some cheap audio. That way she gets acceptable sound for almost nothing. Then you can pocket the change and call it an installation fee.

Has anyone heard their subs? Quality sound or just loud?? I like the price of the SQ10 Subwoofer ($70) and it's a slim sub, so it will work with my available space in the trunk!

Edit - Feel free to ignore the question about reviews. I found some on the site. Hopefully, they are truthful with the negative reviews not filtered out.

I've never heard the subs themselves but the people at CarDomain liked them. They've been around awhile, lurking in the background. They used to suck ***** back when they were making them in the owner's garage. Now I hear they're pretty damn legit.

Except the owner's a dick. Seems like they make decent products, but everything else about the company sucks
