a deer feeder battery weighs 12lb. and is about a 1/3 the size of a car battery would it work

yes it would work but will drain faster. but it all depends how high you'll be listening to your amp and how long. anyways, the more you put in parralelle, the longer it will last. be sure not to connect it in series cause it add all voltages from each battery.

^ hes right. When a bus would come into the shop wed start cussing because we had to convert the battery power. It was almost as bad as on old volvos [:@]

here, i found a power supply that can handle 40 amp continuous, 50 amp max, but it's over 300$ canadian

i only have the ps-7kx on my table, it can handle 5 amps continuous and 7 amps max.
the ps-52kx can handle 40 amps continuous and 50 max, wich would be good enought to power a small amp

I have a 300wat max power 150 wat rms amp
