i have a 98 civic ex, the front speaker mounting depth says that it is 1.6" and the alpine type r 6.5" are 2.625 deep. does anyone have speakers like this in there and will i be able to put the cover back on or will i have to space them out farther than that. i tryed to measure the stock ones but i dont know how they measue them because from the mounting lip to the end of the magnet they measure about 2.25 and they are stock. i dont mind if i have to cut away the plastic behind the speaker but i dont know if it will hit the window, any help please, im looking to order these and get them in stalled this weekend. thanks

yeah i can cut the plastic but then there is a window, will it hit the window?
