theres no screws or anything (that i can see) and i didnt see it just poppin out anytime soon.

its an 01 civic EX by the way, just got it and i wanna transfer my subs from my last car over to this new one. please help

 

open ure glove box, now.. get it off its flanges so it hanges lower than it usuallty does, and u should be able to reach in be hind ure console and push it out.

 

I have an 01 EX coupe 5 speed.



1.) First you wanna take your 'cigarette lighter plug and fog light switch plate' off.

2.) Then, Unscrew the two bolts at the bottom of the 'AC controls and Radio'.

3.) Then pull the AC control and Radio section out. It will come out! It may be difficult the first time you pull it out, I used a screwdriver to help me pry it out. Be careful not to gouge your dash.

4.) Un hook all the wiring harnesses and you can take the whole piece inside and work on it.

From there everything is self explanatory.

1.) Now go inside and pull the ***** off the AC Controls.

2.) Unscrew the 3 screws and remove the back of the AC ontrol. Click on the pic to see the screw locations.

You will now be able to install your radio.



You will need a Metra dash kit. Part number 99-7899 to install it up top.

ne1 know how to get the head unit of an '05 civic out?? in order to install an aftermarket head unit.

 

Its pretty much the sam as above except its harder to get that peice below the radio console out. You have to take alot more apart. I cant remeber exactly what though as I havent done one in a month or so, you may be better off just pulling the whole center console out.




I know a smaller chunk of the center console pops off and will allow you access to the screws you need to get to but I cant explain very well for you since it has been so long. Sorry, but if you look and use commen sense Im sure youll get it.
