How is your ipod hooked up to your civic?
I just got my first car... a used 2001 2dr coupe honda civic. Im wondering the cheapest/best way to hook up my ipod to my car stereo. I think FM transmitter is the cheapest thing i can do, so can someone lead me in the right direction?
Don't use FM transmitter, they suck. A tape works even better. The best way is upgrade to aftermarket stereo w ipod support. I use alpine cda-9856 HU. U have to get a cable but u'll be able to control ur ipod by the HU. (the cda-9857 is better but more expensive).
that's what I do.
I bought a $4 audio cable from radio shack and plug it right up to my iPod from the Auxilliary Input jack on the center console.
I'll never use CDs again.

Yeah but if you spend more money and get the honda cable you can control it using the radio and steering wheel controls and it charges the ipod too
hard to spend that much though...
hard to spend that much though...
i read the review on the iPod connection kit from Honda on iPod lounge.
it said the connection kit's performance was dissapointing in a nutshell. that plus a $250 price tag equals no sale.

good to know...I was considering getting it just so I didn't have to look down to change songs but maybe I'll save the money a just get the cheep one. I've been listening to mp3 on CD's but it tends to skip a lot for some reason...normal CD's don't...?
