How is your ipod hooked up to your civic?
lol...yeah me too. I had a lot of Columbia House accounts back in the day[8D] I just tried a normal CD to see if it was the CD player or just burnt mp3 CD's that skipped.
CDs downright suck, because they're so big and fragile.
cassettes were cool, but their audio quality SUCKED.
MP3s ROOL!!1
no fuss. no muss. and often-times FREE!!! [sm=rockinit.gif]

I have to agree the FM Transmitter lacks , for 1 the antenna on the 7th gen is on the back Window so to get the best reception your transmitter has to be in the back seat to get the best reception. Unless you have some ridiculously long cables you have to keep turning around to change a selection on your Device which will also be in the back seat. The transmitter also uses batteries so who wants to keep putting batteries in the thing. I know that some transmitters come with Cig Lighter adapters but again the cables are usually not long enough to get reception....at least with my experience with (Cheap Belkin) Transmitters. and as for mp3's I guess it depends on the audio you listen too ...........I hate compressed Audio especially on the High frequencies. Uncompressed Digital audio for this Purest........Go with the Aftermarket Stereo with Ipod Interface if you Must..............................
in my civic, i have a input jack on the back of the sony radio(it really sucks), but i took the a/v cable that came with my ipod and plugs the red and white and left out the yellow one and it works fine. in my jeep, i have an alpine head unit and it has the external ipod interface box. it will charge and control my ipod throught the head unit, but to go through the artist names takes forever because you have to go through [:@] each one and it takes a really long time
Since MP3s seem to be the way to go now, if you could start from scratch what's the best way to go about getting an iPod hookup that charges the unit and allows you to control it with the head unit? I'm starting to look into what to replace my Civic with in a few years and right now it's another Civic or a Fit, and those both seem to have the appropriate hookups. I don't have an iPod yet, but I'm sure I'll have one eventually since I'm addicted to iTunes now.
