With how many songs I have on my iPod, I would kill for a touch screen system in the dash. The conventional head units don't display names well enough for me to scroll through a list of artists and find one. That is why I picked up an CD changer to iPOD cable that doesn't tranfer artist info, it is just easier to control it from the iPod.

i have a alpine flip out radio. i bought my screen protector also from ebay.

ive bought 3 screen protectors from them and every time i got the film very fast. and worked great. first one i put on i used a old credit card and scratched it alittle bit in the corner and i just wanted to redo it.

i just dont use my ipod cable anymore. mine has a fullspeed cable which does the job just fine but i have sirius satelite radio and i listen to that almost all the time.

ive loved alpine. my civic had a double din alpine unit and my truck has a flip out unit now. great radios. tho i paid like 800bucks for my flip out unit and i paid about 700 bucks for the double din unit. i wish i had bought a flip out unit at first. main downfall about my old DD unit does not have a detachable face for any security and it can only be used in a few vehicles since its a double din unit.

i havent personally used pioneer so i cant really diss them. but i have had 2 friends that have used them and both had problems with the flip out motors but they did have kids that liked to touch... you know kids so im sure they are the reason the flip out gears stripped.

if your unsure which radio you like i would suggest finding a local audio store that has some demos and go play with them find the one you like the most and write down the model numbers

You can always buy it from the store if they have a comparable price, though that is extremely hard for most stores.
