Default Installing EX Cluster Problem...PLEASE HELP

Hi Guys....

I'm in need of some desperate help here. I have a 94 dx hatch. I bought a new guage cluster off ebay (because mines didn't work -- broken from previous owner). After swapping out the cluster (supposedly plug-n-play), my blinker don't work, and my car won't shut off unless I push in the "hazard" light button. I've tried disconnecting the battery..hoping to reset it, but that didn't work. I've tried unplugging everything and plugging it back in, and that didn't work. I also tried swapping the old cluster back and its doing the same thing.

Anybody run into this problem before???

Thanks

Mine was a plug and play with no issues. However it is a 96. Are you sure the cluster you got was the correct one? Not a 96-00, which COULD be different than yours?

what year did the cluster come out of? If its 96 or newer its from a different generation than yours so that might cause problems.

Same generation guages. I made sure of that before I bought it. The wierd thing is, even when I tried putting the original cluster back in, it still acted up.

hmm your blinker do'nt work and you have to press the hazard to shut it off? i would replace the hazard button, probably has nothing to do with the cluster

well wasn't the original cluster acting up anyway?

Was the cluster you bought new or used? Maybe the new had problems with it and thats why they were selling it hopefully not but its always a possibility

The reason i say the hazard switch is cause that will prevent the blinkers from working. i have never heard of having to hold it in to turn the car off before though

Yea...its crazy. Everything on the original cluster was working fine (blinkers, hazards, etc..) except the speedometer needle...it was starting to "stick" (sometimes works and sometimes doesn't) It perplexes me as well, needing to push in the hazard light to shut the car off. I doubt its the new guage causing the problem, even when I switched it back to the old one...the problem is still there.
