Default Installing a radio (Metra kit)

I recently got my first car, a 96 civic DX. So I got an aftermarket CD/mp3 player. The deck itself works but its just sitting in the slot. I got a Metra installation kit but the parts just don't seem to fit. Anyone know what the problem is? Maybe I can get some pics to show you guys what everything looks like.

i dont know how hard it is for you to return but we always use the 9829 at work and it comes with ISO mount provisions and it looks sweet when its done, be careful not to break the trim ring for the iso mount though if you go that way. another thing you have to watch out for is if u have a motorized face plate it rarely wont work on this kit when you iso because of the tight fit, but if you can ISO all the way.
