Default Instrument cluster lights

Hey, I put a new cd player in my 99 civic lx and it installed fine. until i drove at night when i noticed my instrument cluster lights didnt work any more! [:@] Whats going on?? i know there was two wires thathooked into the factory player but didnt hook into the cd player so i dont know if that has something to do to it. and before anyone asks i already checked the fuses.

Does your keyless entry still work? If so then I don't know. If not then I have an answer for you and it has to do with the factory radio. Is the radio an odd shape when you pull it out of the dash? like a U almost?

I only got the car last week, the keyless entry didnt work then. the previous owner told me the key fob needs a new battery just. The original radio isnt a U shape. It just looks like a normal shaped radio. why what do u think it could or could have been. il listen to any suggestions!!
