So I am trying to decide between both components. I have read good things about both but since my local shops do not carry these brands I will not have a chance to give them a listen. I want something with excellent sound quality but not super bright. I listen to hardcore punk and metal and would love nothing more than to hear kickdrums like im getting punched in the chest

 

In that case, I suggest phoenix Golds, or pioneer's new line of "rock beats paper"
