where are you located?
to get it reffed, you need to set it up exactly like its american counterpart. it needs a us legal exhaust manifold (i think dc sports has one) and all the sensors found in the rsxs or the new si. then it has to run on a US ecu.

k20a type R huh?
well, that means you sourced it from a japanese RSX, which means it probably has higher compression than the USDM k20a.
that could lead to overly-rich carbon monoxide output. I'm guessing if you fail, that's what you'll fail for.
like sac said, you need to run a USDM ecu (the latest year model you can get your hands on).
you also need to run your stock exhaust from the cat on back. no high flow or aftermarket cats or catback exhaust systems. you're trying to keep your exhaust emissions to a minimum. you'll also need to get ahold of a stock airbox intake if you can.
if you fail, you'll probably need to take your car to a tuner shop and have them try to get as much carbon out of the engine as possible. but your engine is so new, that may be a waste of money.
i say 50-50 you'll pass.
good luck.

most new engines like that wont have much carbon or if not any build up at all. But to see make sure you can by SeaFoam you can get it local car place (orchelans, autozone,o'reilleys) any of those places and it will tell you how to use it but it cleans out your entire engine from injectors to carbon build up etc. its reallly good stuff. u can try that out as well.
