My Swap is done, now I need to start the car, but the ECU won't recognize my old key (04civic DX cope), the acura dealer said they can try to re-program the key, but no garenties that it will work, since the engine is a JDM, HONDATA will remove the key code all together, but pricy!!!

any one can point me in the right direction?

I would opt for kpro and get a decent tune while you're at it

 

Yes that is the plan, I'm about to remove the stock ECU and send it to HONDATA, but wanted to start the car and do some testing before I send it out. after getting back the ECU/Kpro conversion....I will hit the dyno before I do any laps with the car....mind U the car is a real race car andnot a street tuner.

Street cars can be nice too, don't always have to be expensive and flashy to look good

 

sorry it has taken so long I've been racing my formula car at the Montreal F1 GP and the champcar race in Tremblant....

now it's the time to attack the civic again and finish it...I will keep U guys posted on the devs. but will be racing in 4 weeks with it..
