Default lf diy on screen install

hey im looking for a diy on a screen install on my 05 civic.

as far as i know the only aftermarket premolded kits are the ones designed to fit double din standard stereos.

to make my like 100000% easier, can anyone tell me if i would be able to find a premade holder for touch screens?

or will i have to do it myself? reason i ask is because i completly suck at doing this type of work, and it would look absolutley horrid if i did it myself. if i do have to do it myself, where can i finda good tutorial? tried google a little bit not too much info

thanks in advance

I know the install bays at like circuit city and best buy can sell you in dash install kits that are made to replace existing pieces of your center console/radio bezel and allow your after market equipment to fit. There usually $20-$40

the install for a touch screen can be a pain in the *** if you want it to look all stock

i have a custom car pc i installed in mine with a 7" touchscreen and a pc mounted inside a honda cd changer IMO the flip out ones are a waste of money since you can do the whole car pc for a lot less than a good one costs....but if you do decide to do this it requires a bit of planning

Justinwebb: Thats pretty cool.. Yours has alot of features, and how did you manage to get the Honda symbol in it? Haha, thats awesome. What kind of screen do you have in yours? And.. How did you manage to mount a COMPUTER inside your car..? I've heard somethings about carputers, but not much.. It seems really cool, i'd love to get one. Its alot more professional looking than my Dual in-dash motorized 7" flip-out . It cost me $450, but.. I'd love to have what you have, GPS, apps, internet.. Thats amazing .
