Wow, where to start.
Ok, is the amp light on?
Yes- Check the speaker wire connections on the back of the sub and trace it to the amp to make sure everything is secure.
No- Double check all connections for power and ground. Check fuses.
Amp light is on and all connections are secure as far as you can tell, no fuses blown including the one wherever the remote is run from- hook the sub up to a known good source to see if it plays and/or hook a known good speaker up to your amp.
Speaker works, amp not on = probably power supply bad = $100 to fix
Amp on, speaker no workie- blown sub = you get to go shopping
Check all of this and get back to us.

Did you install your radio all ghetto like? If so, check the RCA wires to the amp from the radio, it happened to me once bcause of faulty RCA's . That is also a common problem.

You mean when you press on the sub it starts workiing and if you let go it stops? Or do you mean pressure as in turning it up really loud ? Even on the home stereo?
Fried voice coil. Time to go shopping. Do you have a crossover on it or are you running it full range?

Yup... its not exactly fried....but more 'out of alignment'. It wouldnt work if it was completly fried. All in all... time to put on your best slicks and hit up the audio joint to put a sub in a new home.
