heyy guys. just completed my stereo for my 02 coupe, and im lookin for a good alarm system. its a dx so it aint got no security protection except taht ignition kill if the wrong key is in. im looking for something that would wire into the trunk, doors and ignition. just lookin for a couple suggestions on what kind i should get. thanks

look into viper, or any alarm made by directed electronics.

ya viper or compustar has some nice high end alarms out...

just hire a really big dude to stand by your car holding a monkey wrench every time you leave it in the parking lot. that waytheres less false alarms.. and you can have the guy hold the person trying to break into your car so you can beat the crap out of them later.

haha. thats what i would do. = D

i heard anything made by dei is pretty good, im getting a hornet system soon or either a prestige ill let u noe how it turns out

I am going DEI as well, Hornet, Viper, even their lower end systems are pretty decent on options and price. Remote start and all your looking at around 275 or so installed maybe, at least around here. That includes mounting power lockers on my dx.

Speaking of monkeys, did you guys ever see those commercials of the "Trunk monkey" on like tbs or whatever. Where that guy breaks into the car, and as hes hotwiring the car a monkey hops out of the trunk from the rear seats and beats the Fire out of him... it was kinda funny, look it up.

haha i saw those, they were so funny man! thanks for your opinons guys im thinkin either viper or clifford. is clifford any good do you think?

clifford and viper are basically the same, clifford is just a little more expensive. Go with a Viper 791XV, you can get it for roughly $200, then take it to get it installed somewhere. Installion can cost alot considering it takes 4 hours to install with all of the features.

viper is good in the market.. i have a compustar alarm pager for 4 years now and so far soo good with a decent range!

any DEI product is good if you want awesome range get the 5900 sst if range isn't a issue try the avital piece it's made by DEI but costs less but has less range
