Viper (no longer exisit), Python (used to be Viper), Clifford, Hornet, and Valet are all made by Directed Electronics (DEI). Those systems are the way to go.

You can still get Viper alarms but there wont be anything new coming out with the Viper name on it

i was just curious why you think viper no longer exsists the shop i work at is a DEI dealer and i haven't heard anything about them dropping viper. should i expect something to happen pretty soon. if they are i would just like to know i'm not trying to argue with you. thanks for the heads up.

I have the Viper VX791, it is a decent alarm with tons of features. To be honest I don't feel 100% safe with it though. I plan to switch out to the new Compustar system soon.
