Default My Setup...Workin right?

Ok i have a kenwood head unit. A hifonics four channel amp (55W x 4) going to 2 kenwood (50W RMS x 2) speakers and 2 alpine type r (55W RMS x 2) speakers. I also have a hifonics mono amp (600W x 1 @ 1ohm) powering two 12" Alpine type s subs (300W RMS x 2)/(DVC 4 ohm). The subs are wired so all the positives go to amp and all negative to the amp, each respectively. I currently work at the car audio part of best buy so i hear alot of subs and stuff, and lesser subs like one Alpine type-e sound louder than my 2 together. Idk if there is sumthin wrong with my wiring or what but any advice or tips are welcome.
Thank You,
Shane

Well, for some reason 1 sub tends to do better than 2 for SQ. You very well could have them wired funny. It sounds like your polarity is mixed up. Turn to the wiring diagrams that are stickied in this section.

The fact that your are supposedly a "professional" in car audio and you are asking us this question only serves to recomfirm that Best Buy's car audio department should be avoided like the plaugue.

+1

Dont worry 01civ. You will understand the lingo soon enough if you stick with it and keep asking questions... Especially to the shop manager. They are always great mentors... at local joints anyway
