Need help on Running a wire from battery to car.
Like the title said. Either I suck at searching or no one ever post the solution to my answer but I need to know if there's any hole or anywhere I can Run a 12V wire from battery to the car because I want to setup an amp.
One suggestion that I always start with is follow the hood release cable. Check that grommet out see if you can run the power wire there. If not, go pick up a Haynes manual and they have a description/picture of where there are (if there are) extra grommets and where the existing grommets are.
You didn't say which model but I think almost all Civics have the battery on the right side, so that's where you should look. There should be a gromet above the ECU where the harness goes thru the firewall on the right side of the car. Make another hole in it so your new wire is inside the outermost rubber, not touching the metal. It comes out behind the A/C fan up kind of high but if you start from the engine side you shold be able to work it down.
Install a fuse under the hood right where the wire connects to the battery so if you get a short it won't set your car on fire.

I have extra protection =D
A circuit breaker then a fuse holder. By the way I have 1999 Si Coupe. Battery is on the left FYI. Today is my 3rd attempt looking for a hole to run. I feel like just give up and take it to a audio shop to do it, or unless someone who has a wire from battery to car can show me a pix

Umm no battery's on the right (sitting on the driver seat). But yeah you can just run the wiree right through a rubber grommet. Theres at least three on there. I ran mine all the way over near the steering wheel. I have a 99 si too
These are the only pics i could find when I had a system in my 96 civic coupe... The wires run to the right (when facing the front of the car) through the grommet to the left of your clutch/brake pedal (when inside)... Just run it through there.. its real simple.
