it really depends on what kind of music you listen to and what kind of sound you are looking for. I personally do not like the way they sound, but I have friends that do.
The biggest problem I have seen is that the cone is no very resistant to getting hit. So if you ever have something sliding around in your trunk they may easily get cracked. Since they have come out, we have gone through 4 display models due 3 times to the cone cracking, and another where the surround just tore itself apart.
IMO theres better out there for the money

Yes I already have a rockford fosgate 1200 watt amp that I am going to use. Its a 400x2 channel. I didnt knw if i needed to go with the fosgate 10's or start looking into a different brand. I dont want to have to buy a new amp right now. Just lookin for some good subs for my amp.
Just because there is better out there does not make rockfords bad subs. it simply means they are not the best. and the majority of people out there are not looking to have the biggest baddest system around. and for these people, "Best Buy" brands, as you refer to them, are more than good enough.
I'm not just saying there is better....I'm saying their is better for the money, not that his system isn't big enough.
And like i said, car audio is at least 75% install. A sub in a box not built to fit the specs of that particular sub will have a bigger affect on SQ and SPL than buying a new sub.
