Default need some help by tonight

i have a 98 civic ex w/ a kenwood head unit, i have 2 pioneer subs that im puttin in the rear, i had my head unit put in by a place called sound innovations so everything could be re-wired. How do i get this out and get behind it so i can plug in the RCA's and other wires, and then where should i run all of the wires so that they are hidden and get to the trunk, also, does anyone think i should bother w/a capacitor, im only using a 600w pioneer amp for 2-600w rated pioneer 10's, i think for now im just going to run w/out one, also, where should i take my remote wire to, battery or fuse box, thanks for the input

you dont need to take the head unit out take out the plastics under like your upper mid consol...in my 00 si its with the cup holders and everything that should allow you to do what you need

you shouldnt even need to do that much.....i just installed my new kenwood last month for the first time and it was cake...you should have or can get the metal keys to slide the HU out and you should have enough slack with the wires to do what your wanting.A cap isnt quite needed for the power your running right now but it never hurts though you know what im sayin.

neither, the remote wire goes on the remote wire from the headunit, it has 12V+ when the headunit is on to turn on your amp at same time.

dito.... if ya didnt get your metal release keys go back and complain and get some! im sure they have some spares around in thier drawers!

pop off the trim ring around the face plate and slide those pieces of metal into the slots and ya should simply be able to pull the headunit out..... easiest side to run the wires would be the passenger side cause the trunk/gas levers are in thier preaty good! i have yet to hide my RCAs due to it

but for such a small system id just run em next to eachother BUT if ya get alot of noise comen from the system then just reroute the rcas or at least further back in the carpet away from the power wire.

and your deck should have a amplifier turn on wire on it! its either a solid blue OR blue with white strip. i cannt remember off hand BUT check the wire and see if it still has power when your playing a cd..... if not thats the power antena remote wire
