I had a neon i got off this car I was scraping and I just want to know if it works. Its got 1 wire coming out of each end.I cannot get it towork no matter what my ground and power source is.Do you think I should trash the neon or is there something i am missing.

Does it have a little box connected to it? Neons will not run on just 12 volts. They have a transformer inline that ramps up the power. If there is not transformer, then throw it away.

ya if its a tube from a underbody kit yes you need that transformer... just connect one wire to each end and power and ground to the transformer....

tho if the bulb inside the tube is broken it still wont work

i have no clue what that wires for...........
it should just be ground to the black wire... power to the red wire with the inline fuse.... and just those black wires one to each end of the neon tube.... doesnt matter which one for it...

ive never seen a transformer with another wire like that! you sure its suposed to be thier?

Do you think the grey wire could be for strobes or something of that nature? And yes the wire should be there it goes in the back and you can't open the transformer.
