Must get a alpine head unit period! I just installed my polk momo subs, than hit clean and hard, but i got a deal on mines... i bought my head unit for 150 from a friend new, i bought the 2 polk momo subs which were new,for 75 bucks awhile ago, saw them at tweeter the other day for 119 each, and my amp for 79, 1000 watt max,250 x 2 @ 4 ohms, 500 x 2 @ 2 ohms... so u dont have to go over a grand to get a banging system

$1600 is lots man. I got a head unit, 2 x 12" 1000W, 3 amps (1400W, 600W, 250W) and fronts and rears to match all for about $850 including all wiring. I got all my kit so cheap cause it was all the model just past, so it was on sale, all 50% off. Plus I did all my installs myself. Still need to get a cap but. And another head unit soon. Im getting bored of this one. Point being, you can get lots of good kit for alot cheaper if you hunt/wait. Opertunitys will present themselves. I mean, you dont even have the car yet. And the best piece of advice I can offer is make friends with someone, who knows someone, who knows someone, who robbed somone. The cheapest kit is the stuff thataccidentally fallsoff the back of the truck.
SIDE NOTE: I HAVE BEEN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF STOLEN GOODS. DONT DO DRUGS. DRUGS ARE BAD. I TAKE NO RESPONSABILITY FOR WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU IF YOU CHOSE TO TAKE MY ADVICE.
Side side note: It was soooo worth it.

Point of interest: The Australian Cadence Police Van is the worlds largest sound platform with a total of 168 drivers, 17000 Watts of power and it onyl hits 151 dB. And its got like 8 15"s and 10 12"s as well as well over a hundred speakers.
