Default New speaker problem

I installed my new speakers today Pioneer TS-A1371R 5.25" all the way around. Should have went with 6.5" in front but live and learn I guess.
Anyways the problem is there is a crackling in the speakers when it's at a higher volume and when there is bass in a song. When the woofers kick the speakers crackle a little bit at the higher volume. They only crackle when the bass kicks other times at high volume it's fine.
My old speakers did this too thats why I replaced them, I'm not impressed so far.
Is the wiring messed up or is that what you get with these speakers?

Do you have caps on your speakers? They would be somewhere on the speakers wires. If you don't know what they are, they are a cheap way to protect your speakers.(Instead of having a crossover). At high volume they will cut the bass out to keep you from blowing the speaker, this will sound like the speaker is clipping. Just a thought or something to check.

Does anyone have a link to these caps? I cannot find them anywhere on the internet.

another thing you can check is a ground someplace too if its not a reallly solid ground it will work but not great that woudl be why you only hear the crackls when you turn it up high.. and you said you had that same problem with your other speakers so it could have bin the problem with them too.. so just find your ground and make sure its a good metal and make sure theres not any paint or anything if there is paint jsut sand it off and that coulod possibly fix the problem

Your sound is probally distoration.

A. Your clipping the speakers. Are they ran off the HU or an amp? If they are off the HU don't turn the HU past 2/3rds its max volume.

B. Xovers aren't correct. 80hz @ 12dB should be your starting point.

And bassblocks...wtf? Your sopposed to have bass in your speakers, wonder why they call it mid-bass.

it might be the wiring, but the speakers you bought arn't show winners.either, do you have a stock radio or aftermarket? because u are probably going beyond your sources ideal volume

Its aftermarket. It's a Pyle 6.5" DVD/Tuner head unit.
Thanks for the advice.

not to sound like a dick but your problem might be your head unit... i dont think a whole lot of PYLE . a speakers just gonna reproduce whatever signal its given. before you tear everything apart i'd try a differnt deck just to rule it out.
