Hey hey now dont make fun of that sony because that is what i am running in mine.

I have that sony headunit
4 gauge wire
rockford fosgate 750x power
2 jlw3v2 in a ported box

Only problem i have cause i finally put it in is that when i turn it up a little bit my bcak deck smacks the window. The cure for this i dont know yet but working on it. Yes i need a bigger altenator too. Kinda think my set up is a bitt over kill but i took it out of my tornado lol so why not go with it. good in bass competitions Also any of you guys running capacitors???

nope caps suck! no competitor run them... either get a secondarybattery OR a highpower alternator... tho a highpower alternatorshould always be your first buy! cause it MAKES POWER and your system usespower

batteries store more power and caps just briefly hold power but hey suck!

but anyways i hate sony radios along with all thier equipment.LOL thier cd players skip with any decent bass! ive never had a sony NOT SKIP with my bass

the radio isnt bad but on the other hand i can not find a higher powered altenator for this car. the strongest one i have found is a 75 amp. the car comes with a 70 an that isnt even much of a difference

well your not gonna find them at autozone.LOL

check out your local alternator shop... usualy they do alternators and starters...
now they can beef em up good!

or if you cannt find any place check ebay ive seen some for sale for a decent price... not sure how good they are no...
http://search.stores.ebay.com/Alters...867641QQsofpZ0
must be decent cause i his feedback looks preaty good.
depending on how much my alternator guy charges i might buy from him...
and definatly in my opinion... if your upgrading... spend the extra money and get as large as they make.LOL

right now my stock 70 or 75amp stock alt realy struggles! cannt keep up with my amp at 3/4 volume. simple 1200watt amp. tho i plan up doubling that power and alittle more for my highs eventualy... HOPEFULLY that will hold me as well with a overdrive pulley on the alternator.
the overdrive pulley will make the alternator spin faster which will help at lower idle rpms....

i have a pioneer head unit not no bs pretty up 2date cd/am/am all the basic **** 50w by 4, i have 2 alpine speakers in the back like 250 mx watts4got rms and one 10 inch preamped bazooka sub and i am satisfied with this system, people may say that the sub doesnt push out enoug hpower because it is preamped but let me tell u it is more than enough bass ull need in the car, but if u want people who hear it on the outside then dont get it, u can get one of these for about $230 bucks for the sub, i say u try it out but hey do what u want, also if u buy a preamed bazooka sub ur amp cant blow, it works as one component

instead of buying a performance alternator which does not increase the amps by much, i believe u can get a capacitor with a decent amount of farad and youll be good , itll save the hassle of installing a new alternator

oh yea sry that i keep postign but a second battery would bbe better than a capacitor i believe, but thats only if u cant find an alternator that will give u a large amount of greater amps than stock
