Default New Trunk Setup With Pics

I'm currently building a custom trunk for my car, it's not finnished yet, but I taught i'd post some pics while doing it and post more when done. I did something somewhat similar to the DIY, but with one sub and because my type-r was deeper than the subs in the DIY, I had to make 4 steps to stick my sub out more. Im not sure how it's gonna sound yet, but hope it doesnt sound too bad because of the steps.

Here are some more pics. everything is completly sanded, assembled and ready for primer and paint.
Ill post one more final pic when it is painted and in my car.

Anybody have any ideas on wich colour i should paint it??? My car is white, but i think that might be too easy to get dirty.

yeah def carpet it cause paiting it will look... i dunno just wrong, carpet does go along way.

or even like some sort of micro suede look a like, you can get real micro suede on ebay for really cheap even if its fake it'll still add some style.

thats what i plan on doing when i do a new fiberglass enclosure if i dont decide to paint it instead.

nah i vote for painting it. carpeting fiberglassed enclosures is like cheating takes all the work out of it..

yeah i was thinking of carpetting it, but it looks pretty hard to get it to stick in the corners. but i don't know yet, i'll paint it, then if it looks bad, I'll carpet over it. I would have loved to do something less big with fiberglass, but i never worked with fiberglass and was thinking my first glass project wouldn't look to good.

not really, sometimes you'll see the pro's doing them in like a leather or whatever the hell they use, its really plyable when you heat it so i dunno what they use...

and i dont think someone will mind...its fiberglass and if you have ever worked with it, its not a breeze, than if oyu wanna paint it you got to kind of make it all smooth which means body filler and lots of sanding

How much does that thing weigh? does it break apart slightly so you can get it into the trunk? It looks like some nice precision work though! and as far as paint goes I'd cast my vote for black with a blue light that shines over your amp/capacitor etc from the bottom... maybe even throw a switch on it that allows it to hit with the bass... and/or a blacklight shining over the sub in some form or another.... just my thoughts...

Side Note: I would advise dyno-mat under that sub to cut down some vibration and allow more sound out...

it is pretty heavy, but i had no idea what to do. I have no glass experience, nothing custom making, all i know how to do is wire it, this is my first custom trunk build, i know it's not what i would have liked, but it's all i could think of that i was able to do. Yeah i was thinking of putting couple neons on top of the trunk, that would come on when i open the trunk. other than that, i dont know. My original plan was to make the amp and cap sink in with plexi glass on top and to put 1 fan on each end to come on when amp comes on so it would kool it off, but i didn't have enought space to build another box underneath.
