what year Civic is it?
on civics prior to 2001 you can swap out the speedo/odometer between the two units in order to keep your mileage the same

kno of a write up on how to do it? the cluster im lookin at is from the lx. its got the tach, speedo, a smaller fuel level gauge and a couple others on it. also can the clear plastic cover of those come off with ease?

i don't know a write up on it, but it can't be too hard.
just take apart the cluster carefully until you get to where you can remove the speedo/odometer.

the only advice i have for you is to be very careful with the needles, they are delicate.
